Dr. Nexus is infamous for his punk-derived attitude which informs his approach to “music”. To “play”, he uses many weird electronic elements including several open source hardware devices. He works both solo and in an endless series of collaborations. In the artist’s own words: ‘to describe the sound of dr. nexus in human vocabulary you could call it “Hyper spasms of
beats and noises” or something like a mental miniskirt.’
At DELIQUIUM 2018 Dr. Nexus will perform a ritual noise set.
These are artists who want to push you as a listener, viewer, toucher, taster. They feel the competing powers that define human and inhuman experience and press this open the audience. This is work that requires the presence of the artist and the engagement – sometimes submission – of the public. Your senses will thank you for the embrace that is DELIQUIUM.
