MDS51 was founded in 2007 in Germany by Enrico Straube. Following a break it reactivated in 2013, with Straube joined by drummer and audiovisual artist Mike Lutz. The duo combine industrial elements, ominous, dark sounds, and distorted vocals, illuminated by striking video projections. MDS51 are currently working on their fourth album, Enter this large industrial factory, let the pounding of the machines and the hissing of the valves dictate the beat!
These are artists who want to push you as a listener, viewer, toucher, taster. They feel the competing powers that define human and inhuman experience and press this open the audience. This is work that requires the presence of the artist and the engagement – sometimes submission – of the public. Your senses will thank you for the embrace that is DELIQUIUM.
