HARDWARE HACKING ➣ WORKSHOP by Tasos Stamou (UK)
Tasos Stamou is leading workshops of alternative music technology as an extension of his artistic discipline. During these workshops, Stamou shares his experience in DIY electronic instruments making and the creative use of such interfaces.
His main workshop series is focused on hardware hacking (circuit bending) electronics towards the design and making of new innovative DIY electronic music instruments. Participants are taught all the necessary techniques and tips to transform recycled electronics into creative alternative synthesizers.
Although mainly a solo performer and recording artist, he frequently collaborates with other sound artists, improvisers and experimentalists (such as Adam Bohman, Alan Wilkinson, London Improvisers Orchestra, Mike Cooper, Andrea Parkins, Kuupuu & Lau Nau, Terry Day, Adachi Tomomi, Ilan Manouach, Ignaz Schick, Magda Mayas, Arma Agharta, Thodoris Ziarkas, etc.) at various venues and festivals for innovative music.

These are artists who want to push you as a listener, viewer, toucher, taster. They feel the competing powers that define human and inhuman experience and press this open the audience.
