(UK) ➣ Noise
“Carving sonic elegies out of and into and back out of metal structures, James Shearman intends to lose all breath grasping at the unknown. Choking on air, vomiting screams and drowning in feedback – attempting to contact the lost and as yet unfound parts of the mind.”
James Shearman is a twenty-three year old “noise being” living and working in Leytonstone in North-east London. James has been creating music, sound art and noise monstrosities for the past five years. James runs the noise-based netlabels HNW and SSN Technologies and has been responsible for numerous internet noise aliases, most prolificallyas the anagrammatic A Raja’s Mesh Men. He has also been involved in numerous London-based and online collaborative projects and has released with labels such as Vanity Pill, Hatets Dok, Altar of Waste, Avocado Tapes, Reason Art Records and others.
These are artists who want to push you as a listener, viewer, toucher, taster. They feel the competing powers that define human and inhuman experience and press this open the audience. This is work that requires the presence of the artist and the engagement – sometimes submission – of the public. Your senses will thank you for the embrace that is DELIQUIUM.
