MERKABA MACABRE | DELIQUIUM 2018

DELIQUIUM

SOUND ART TRIENNIAL
8th, 9th, 10th February 2018 – Electrowerkz, London

MERKABA MACABRE

(UK) ➣ Ambient / Ritual

Merkaba Macabre is a multimedia project by Steven McInerney, an Australian born artist based in London. His practice includes audiovisual and musical performance, installation, experimental film & video works and curatorial projects. His musical performances encompass live improvisation of electroacoustic experiments, modular synthesis and processed field recordings. Merkaba Macabre’s use of these elements aims to open up a dialectic between the psycho-spiritual and the profane. McInerney also runs PsychéTropes, an audiovisual label releasing and exhibiting works by artists practising within a cross-disciplinary field.

These are artists who want to push you as a listener, viewer, toucher, taster. They feel the competing powers that define human and inhuman experience and press this open the audience. This is work that requires the presence of the artist and the engagement – sometimes submission – of the public. Your senses will thank you for the embrace that is DELIQUIUM.
